FAMILY
CONTRIBUTION
Thank
you to those families who have paid your Family Contribution.As
stated in the February 7th 2002 Newsletter, the Board of Trustees
have set the Family Contribution payment at the same level as last
year :
$60 per child (or $15 per term)
or
$120 per family ($30 per term).
The 2001 Education
Review Office's "Accountability Review of Kenakena School"
stated that :
"Financial management is prudent, Policies give clear guidance
and financial resources are allocated to meet short and long term
school priorities. Effective internal controls are practised.
The Board receives monthly reports that give an accurate position
of school finances."
Please consider paying
the Family Contribution as soon as possible if you have not already
done so, as it is vital to the successful financial operation
of the school. Your Family Contribution would be well utilised
during the remainder of the year to meet the school's resourcing
needs for your children.
To pay the Family
Contribution, money or cheques should be put in an envelope with
your child's name, room number and what the money is for, clearly
written on the front. Please put this envelope in the blue letter
box on the wall of the Administration Foyer (by the Medical Room).
Receipts will be sent home with your child.

LUNCHES (NOT ON FRIDAYS)
Your child’s name, room number and their order should be
written on the front of an envelope, correct money (or as near
as possible please) placed inside, sealed and put in the lunch
box provided in the school administration foyer before 9 am. (These
orders go into the Grey Round Bin which is next to the Red Post
Box)

Order forms and money should be put in a sealed envelope and
taken to the administration foyer before 9 am. Any offers of help
can be directed to Lynda Ramage 2971975 (These orders go into
the blue Post Box)

Children are often delayed in getting to class
when they have to write out their lunch orders in the morning
at school, making them late for roll call and receiving their
instructions for the day from their teacher. Please ensure your
children have their orders written out at home, and that the orders
are in the lunch box before 8:55, when the bell goes for the beginning
of school.

Education Programme
We propose
running Parenting With ConfidenceToolBox in 2003.This programme
consists of 6 sessions costing $45 per peron with a reduction
per person for couples.These courses provide a fantistic hanbook
and lots of good ideas. They are also good fun. Three of our parents
have trained as Parenting With ConfidenceToolBox facilitatiors
for the 5-12 year olds. Dy, Denise, and Lee are now ready to go!
