Did you know Kenakena School runs a Chess Club? The club meets weekly on Wednesday lunchtimes, where they learn the rules of the game and strategies for competing successfully. The club is run by Mike O’Rourke from the Kapiti Chess Club, who has worked with our kids for the last two and a half years. At present around 15 children work with Mike.
